Aparna Atluru, MD, MBA

Dr. Aparna Atluru is a practicing psychiatrist and assistant professor at the University of California San Francisco. Her expertise is in treating physicians, medical students, and health sciences students & professionals. Dr. Atluru completed her undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, and attended medical school at Texas Tech. She completed general psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Southwestern and fellowship training in child & adolescent psychiatry at Stanford. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and also is co-founder and chief medical officer at Marvin.

Ish Bhalla, MD

Dr. Ish Bhalla is a board certified adult and forensic psychiatrist. He attended medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He completed residency training at Yale University School of Medicine, and a fellowship in Yale University's Law and Psychiatry Division. He also earned a Masters of Science degree in Health Policy and Management from UCLA. Dr. Bhalla can diagnose and treat many psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders. He conducts psychotherapy and medication management. Dr. Bhalla sees patients via telehealth.

David Grunwald, MD, MS

Dr. David Grunwald is a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who is a founding member of DIA Health. In addition to his work at DIA, Dr. Grunwald serves as volunteer assistant clinical professor at UCSF and is a staff psychiatrist at SF Department of Public Health. He supervises medical students and fellows at UCSF where he completed a fellowship in public psychiatry. He completed child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship training at Stanford University, psychiatry residency at Yale University and medical school at the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program. Dr. Grunwald works with a broad range of patients and is comfortable treating a wide variety of conditions. He utilizes psychotherapy, play therapy and psychopharmacology as needed with a whole-person approach to care. Dr. Grunwald sees patients in-person in Berkeley, CA and via telehealth.

Karsten Heil, MD

Dr. Karsten Heil graduated from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg's medical school in Germany, completed residency training at Yale University School of Medicine, and a fellowship in Yale University's Law and Psychiatry Division. He is board-certified in general adult as well as forensic psychiatry and is focused on delivering science-based assessments, medication management, and supportive psychotherapeutic interventions. His particular interests include neuropsychopharmacology, pharmacogenomics, behavioral genetics, and the intersection of law and psychiatry. Dr. Heil sees patients via telehealth.

Diane Kim, PMHNP

Diane Kim, PMHNP is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who received her training at the University of California, San Francisco. She primarily works with adults and has experience treating individuals with anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and ADHD. She provides comprehensive psychiatric assessments and prescribes psychiatric medications. She also provides psychotherapy services, drawing upon various modalities, including mindfulness, somatic practices, psychodynamic approaches, internal family systems theory, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Additionally, she is enrolled in the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy training program which begins in the Fall of 2023. She is available to see patients via tele-health.

Ivana Viani, MD

Dr. Ivana Viani is a psychiatrist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She graduated with honors from Harvard Medical School, completed her psychiatry residency in Boston, and her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. She primarily specializes in working with young people with autism and other neurodivergencies, such as ADHD and learning differences, and those who are highly talented or knowledgeable in one or more domains. Dr. Viani is available to see patients via tele-health.
